Biography
Sophia Strings are a professional string ensemble based in London available for weddings, parties and corporate events throughout the UK. The group adds a touch of class and elegance to your event, and is certain to wow your guests. The ensemble can be booked as a string quartet, string trio or string duo, to suit your needs.
Sophia Strings has a wealth of experience in performing at weddings, parties and corporate events. Previous clients include Moet Hennessy, sketch London, The City of London, The Barbican, The Royal Opera House and more. Sophia Strings has a comprehensive repertoire list ranging from ABBA to Vivaldi, Opera to Tangos, Pop to Jazz. The group can also take musical requests in advance of your event, so we can cater to your wishes and are more than happy to advise you on anything if you are unsure.
The ensemble’s passion for a variety of different music styles has gained them a reputation as session players throughout the U.K. Playing at BBC Radio 1 studios for BBC Live Lounge, Abbey Road Studios, British Grove Studios and Middle Farm Studios in Devon. The ensemble have recorded for We are The Ocean, Eliza and the Bear, Andreas Moe, Canterbury and Futures. They have also have performed live with the band Deaf Havana and played several shows with them on their U.K tour. Recently, members of the Quartet performed on Swan Hellenic’s ‘White Nights of the Baltic’ cruise.
