Also, this just raises more questions about the Gnoses. Is this why the archons are so unhesitant on handing over their Gnosis? And is this the “misfortune” of holding the Gnosis that Skirk was telling Neuvillette? So as we in the book, the most important characters are The Night lady, The pale princess, the prince, and the 6 pygmies. Pitiful creature, are you here to see your master?" The vile smirk of the Night Mother exuded the breath of the abyss. Now that you are all my people, please let me take you to the Kingdom of Light. It's a place that can bring sight to the blind, wisdom to the foolish, courage to the timid, and reinvigoration to the shrunken. As a princess, this is my gesture of gratitude to you." A fairytale story that has been told throughout Teyvat for ages. This is part one, which tells the story of the Land of Night and the Moonlight Forest.

If this isn’t enough to convince you that there’s a correlation between the prince and the Third Descender, let’s hop over to Book VI, where the pygmies actually carry out their plan. Again, here are two more quotes I wanted to point out. Make sure you still have the quote about the guilty pygmy from the previous book in your head because it’ll tie in with one of these. Consumed by fear for the rising tide of delusion and breakthroughs' further indicates that people were becoming aware of a world outside of Teyvat, which Phanes, as the Demiurge would not allow, dropping nails to reset the world, aswell as killing any witnesses.

The Pale Princess and the Six Pygmies (V)

The pygmies celebrated, but while they were celebrating, the last remaining power of the Prince's soul was used to curse the pygmies to feel as if they are being cooked for their whole lives. Stories claim the Pale Princess was a powerful sorcerer who once saved the world from a dangerous magic. Only a few know the truth. In the past years we had basically no idea why the Tsarista had been collecting the Gnoses. But after the lore drop about the gnoses being the Third Descender’s corpse, it’s likely that she is collecting them to revive the Third Descender. And this would tie in suspiciously perfectly with the quotes from Book V and VI.

We're gonna delete the factor of gender, so where it says prince it is just to regard which character I'm talking about. A fairytale story that has been told throughout Teyvat for ages. This installment tells of the meeting of the Pale Princess and the Light Prince. The three sisters were all in love with the morning stars, and it is said that their love for the morning stars was "equal" to the affection between the sisters. Timid Pygmy: Murata, the God of War. She tries to prove her strength by fighting a giant monster. She also wanted to fight the prince. The Pale Princess ruled her kingdom with kindness and gentleness. She always knew what was best for her people. Under her rule, the people of the Moonlight Forest never knew the threat of the Night Mother's wrath, and the creatures lurking in the dark never dared to set foot in the forest. But, one pygmy got the Prince and hoped to bring her to the Princess to heal. It is unknown whether it was his loyalty or his fear of the curse that made him do this. This is where the pygmy meets the Night Mother/Phanes, perhaps the start of his servitude to the heavenly principles. She tells him of the fate of the Princess and her followers, and of a prophecy.

Of course it is easy to write it off as just narrative ploy to make us like the Archons, but notice how other character's traumas, if existent at all, are relayed to bits and pieces in voicelines rather than the full cutscenes we systematically get for Archons. The Night Mother was the source of all sins, and the Land of Night was the embodiment of her evilness. The cruel Night Mother, who had neither heart nor mouth, was always watching the Land of Night, and her punishments were always unexpected. The only thing she could not bear was the occasional ray of moonlight that made it through the clouds. The light that penetrated the walls of darkness always irritated her. The Prince claims to be from the other side of the world, the "Kingdom of Light". He was full of vitality, leaves flourished and people grew stronger around him. He accompanies the Princess to fulfill her dream of bringing her people to the other side of the moon. But this requires them to first go through the Land of Night. This book is a quest item, you cannot progress further into the story without completing this quest and getting the book first. That means the book is important to the story. Volume 1

They walked into the cave where the Nightgaunt resides and saved another pygmy, who was timid, from the top of a stalactite.
